An Impressive 25 Million People Watched ‘The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power’ Premiere Episodes

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has given Amazon Prime Video one more reason to pat itself on the back and say “money well spent”. Following the warm reception of its latest high-fantasy series, Prime Video has, for the first time in its streaming endeavours, publicly released the figure of those who tuned in to stream the two-episode premiere of the show.

Amazon Prime Video says more than 25 million people tuned in globally to watch.

This is an impressive number, even if we don’t know how the other Prime Video shows before The Rings of Power compare to this. For easier comparison, House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel spin-off at HBO, drew in over 10 million viewers for its own premiere about two weeks ago.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is visually striking and stunning to look at; the two-episode premiere episode also positions many moving parts for this prequel story that hold great potential. It remains to be seen how the story continues to unfold as all roads lead to the titular Rings of Power, and if these 25 million viewers will stay true on the journey till the end. Only time will tell.

Were you one of the 25 million viewers who tuned in for The Rings of Power premiere? Tell me what you think about the show (so far) in the comments.
