Squeal for Jesus. The most successful comedy film of the year is Save Your Soul. Starring Regina Hall and Sterling K. Brown, this Sundance Festival favorite is expected to blow everyone's minds.

Ahead of its anticipated theatrical and streaming debuts later this year, the comic satire produced by Adamma and Adanne Ebo has debuted its first trailer. Hall and Brown, who play the primary characters, and Daniel Kaluuya are also involved in the production (Get Out, Nope). Rowan Riley, Amandla Crichlow, Kara Durrett, Jessamine Burgum, and Matthew Cooper are additional producers.

The Ebo sisters told Variety in an exclusive interview that their Southern Baptist upbringing served as inspiration for the movie, which explores a "style of praise dance popular in some Black churches, where performers swap lyrical movement for miming and frequently wear mimes' traditional white face makeup."

Squeal for Jesus. The release date for Save Your Soul is set for September 2, 2022. (cinema and Peacock streaming service).
