The TV show "The Dahomey Warriors" is being produced by EbonyLife Studios in partnership with Sony Pictures Television.

Mo Abudu, the CEO of EbonyLife Studios, announced on her official Instagram account the studio's next TV series based on the Dahomey Amazons of Benin.

Following the recent release of the teaser for The Woman King, a Hollywood production based on the critically praised true story starring Viola Davis, the renowned film executive announced the news.

“I am pleased to inform you that we have made significant progress on the development of the first season and we are engaging with global broadcasters and streamers.

“I can’t wait till sharing it with you all becomes a reality.

The TV series has not yet been given a premiere date, but on September 16, 2022, The Woman King will open in theaters all over the world.
