A local reveals how he managed to flee the terrorist attack on Buhari's convoy.

President Muhammadu Buhari's motorcade was attacked, and a local who saw it has described how the president was able to flee.
Recall that Naijaloaded previously reported that on Tuesday night in Katsina, terrorists attacked President Buhari's convoy.

The president's spokesperson, Garba Shehu, confirmed the development to reporters.

Security personnel and an advance squad traveling to Buhari's hometown of Daura ahead of Sallah were ambushed near Dutsinma in Katsina, despite Shehu's observation that his principal was not in the convoy at the time of the attack.

A local who witnessed the incident firsthand told Daily Trust that they were horrified and hid in the underbrush while a group of "gallant presidential guards" chased the terrorists away.

According to the source, they came across a group of bandits while traveling from the Kankara region of the state to Dutsinma.

They stayed in the jungle, according to him, until they saw a large military convoy that eventually cleared the route so they could get to Dutsinma.
