Spanish Club 'Barcelona' Makes Man United's Purchase of De Jong the Only Requirement

According to the UK Sun, Barcelona is attempting to get Harry Maguire from Manchester United as part of the Frenkie de Jong trade.
De Jong's future is still up in the air between Barcelona and United, with Erik ten Hag designating the midfielder as his priority summer transfer target.

Barca, though, has requested that Maguire be included in the agreement.

United, though, turned down the club's proposal, and the two parties are now close to settling on a £69 million straight cash transaction.

A handful of defenders, including Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, have been given permission to depart Old Trafford this summer.

Ten Hag, though, is adamant that Maguire stay.

In 2019, Maguire cost £80 million to join United, and after only six months with the team, he was elected captain.
